Journey: The lads flew from Prestwick to Dublin early on the Thursday morning, and then onto Prague later on.
Accommodation: Hostel City Center (Prague) - 7/10
Highlights: The Shamrock Bar on the Thursday night; The worst hotdog in Europe that even a tramp turned his nose up at; The pub that moonlighted as a crack den; Davie Clarkson's goal scoring debut; The booze and banter in Dublin Airport on the journey back on the Saturday.
Sad Times: The heat on the day of the game was ridiculous that made getting bevvied extremely difficult!
France 0 - 1 Scotland

Journey: The Pineapple Tartan Army headed to Paris with the Famous Tartan Army Magazine's Tartan Special train. It was a great journey and, although it probably wouldn't do for every away trip, a tremendous time was had, even in the "Carriage of Darkness".
Accommodation: Hotel Ibis (Paris) - 7.5/10
Highlights: The Tartan Special's stop at Preston was unforgettable; The parties underneath the Eiffel Tower; The march to the stadium; James McFadden's screamer; Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes on the train home.
Sad Times: Someone nicking Jay's ticket out of Grievesie's hand on the day of the game and a new one having to be purchased.
Italy 2 - 0 Scotland

Journey: The train from Turin to Bari was a good laugh, but the train back from Bari to Turin was a big of a nightmare - at least for a dreadfully hungover Jay.
Accommodation: Hotel Rondo (Bari) - 9/10; Mercure Torino Crystal Palace (Turin) - 9/10
Highlights: The beach party; The automobile drug deal; Boab falling off a wall trying to put the flag up; Meeting the Juventus squad back in Turin; The legendary Torino supporting taxi drivers.
Sad Times: Jay's seven hour struggle with death on the train back to Turin!

Lithuania 1 - 2 Scotland

Journey: The journey involved a ferry from Stranraer to Belfast, train from Belfast to Dublin, and plane from Dublin to Kaunas. It wasn't the easiest way of getting there, but it was a good laugh and involved two nights of boozing in Dublin!
Accommodation: Old Town Hostel (Vilnius) - 7/10; Brown's Hostel (Dublin) - 0/10
Highlights: Two fine nights in Dublin; The Prospectus Pub in Vilnius; The Lithuanian ladies; Cheap pear cider; A good win for the lads.
Sad Times: Browns Hostel, Dublin. Easily the worst hostel in Europe. Possibly the world.
Slovenia 0 - 3 Scotland
12th October 2005
Journey: A flight to Milan was followed by about eight hours in the pub. This was directly followed by a bus ride to Slovenia - a bus ride on a bus without any working toilet.
Accommodation: The hotel was fantastic and the accidental upgrade received was tremendous. Fantastic hotel room.
Highlights: The unexpected upgrade; Terrorising the mini-bar without having to pay; A great 3-0 victory.
Sad Times: The horrific bus journey from Milan to Ljubjlana.
Italy 2 - 0 Scotland

Journey: Flights to Bergamo and then the train to Milan.
Accommodation: The hotel in Milan was small but decent.
Highlights: Locking Wullie in the toilet for so long he panicked and alerted the hotel owner who in turn phoned the police and removed the toilet door to let him out; The half-hour long Doe A Deer.
Sad Times: Having to keep a constant eye out for pickpockets.
